I really like being able to review the instructions and videos a few times before I try the exercise with my dog – it helps me to feel more confident with what I’m doing, and my dog doesn’t get frustrated with me as I’m figuring it out. Seeing what others are doing in my newsfeed motivates me to keep working with my dog. Tara’s feedback is always encouraging, and her tips help me to problem solve and progress a lot faster.

Tara Monahan

Tara Monahan has combined her love for education, technology, and animals into a business that is at the leading edge of progressive animal care. Tara is constantly researching, learning, and upgrading her skills so that her clients (and her own dogs) can benefit from her knowledge and skill set. In addition to CFI, Tara is a full time Grade 8 Teacher, is active in multiple dog sports, and has a strong background in dog training. She is an advocate of lifelong learning, and has taken dozens of courses and spent thousands of hours reading and researching. She has travelled to attend workshops with Debbie Torraca in Connecticut, Chris Zink in Quebec, and to attend classes at the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage in Colorado. In the summer of 2019 Tara travelled to Texas to attend workshops presented by Ken Bain on Advanced Massage for the Canine Athlete and Canine Trigger Point Therapy Protocols.
